Indian States 2024

India is a union of 28 States and 8 Union Territories. The youngest state in India is Telangana, formed in 2014. In 2019, the state of Jammu and Kashmir was divided into two union territories – ‘Jammu and Kashmir’ and ‘Laddakh’.

New Delhi, the capital of India is a union territory. It is officially known as the National Capital Territory of Delhi or NCT.
